HYDRAULIC HOSE
A hydraulic hose is designed to convey hydraulic fluid to or among hydraulic components. Typically flexible and often reinforced, these hoses are constructed with several layers of reinforcement materials since hydraulic systems frequently operate at high or very high pressures and/or temperatures.
The common causes for hydraulic hose failure is improper assembly, application, or installation. Always ensure the following when putting together a hose or ask a professional to assist you if you are unsure:
(1) Ensure hose and fitting compatibility. Check out our range of Hydraulic Fittings, Hydraulic Cylinders, and Hydraulic Pumps.
(2) Ensure the sizes are correct by measuring the inner and outer diameters. Hose ID must be large enough to minimize pressure loss to avoid damage to the hose due to heat and excessive turbulence.
(3) Check material of the hose, ensure that the material used to replace and old hose is the correct material. Each material has different pressure, temperature, conductivity, load, and suction requirements.
(4) Routine maintenance checks, after PROPER INSTALLATION, is always important to ensure the hose and its components are properly functioning.
