GASKETS
Gaskets are used in almost all industries to seal away leaks through adequate compression to create a barrier that will make a seal pressure tight in order to protect contents inside the seal. Gaskets are made from a wide range of materials depending on its application and can be cut according to specific sizes and shapes. (Gasket Sheets/Parts)
Spiral Wound Gaskets are gaskets manufactured from a mix of metallic and soft filler materials (usually flexible graphite) and is usually already preformed and cannot cut into specific shapes and sizes.
Usually a sealant must be applied on a gasket in order to secure a leak-free seal.

Gaskets are crucial elements in many manufacturing processes and materials are chosen based on chemical, temperature, pressure, acid/gas, and even electromagnetic resistance. Gaskets can be commonly found in cars, trains, planes, boats, electrical equipment, pumps, and many other machines.
